Tim Chan
Dedicated to upskilling others in data, analytics and data science to solve critical energy problems.
Tim Chan is one of the prior founding directors of the YYC Data Society, a co-founder and Director of Untapped Energy, and a Product Owner at Suncor Energy Inc. Tim's passion for building data communities started with the first Datathon organized for the Oil and Gas industry in 2018. Since then, Untapped Energy was born and continues to upskill its members through monthly meetups, technology networking events, annual Energy Datathons and a Credentials Bearing Micro-Learning program. Tim was part of the efforts behind the first 2 YYC DataCon's held virtually during the COVID pandemic.
What I can help with:
Connecting a diverse community to data, analytics and technology ecosystems in Calgary, Alberta and Canada. I have experiences organizing and planning large scale events, digital marketing particularly in the areas of video editing and podcast production. My professional background is in strategic financial management, management accounting, audit and governance and product management.
